2025 Danube Water Conference

The 2025 Danube Water Conference, themed "Looking back, Looking forward: A State of the Sector Update," is set to take place in Vienna from 14 to 16 May, 2025. Organized by the Danube Water Program in collaboration with IAWD and the World Bank, and co-funded by the Austrian Government, this prestigious event coincides with IAWD and World Bank business meetings, the annual UBP Danube Hub workshop, and a pre-event for Young Water Professionals.
Focusing on both current challenges and future prospects of the region's water sector, the conference will feature sessions showcasing best practices and interactive discussions aimed at innovating solutions. Central to the agenda is the presentation of draft results from the World Bank's ongoing update of the State of the Sector Report, offering a comprehensive view of the sector's evolution, challenges, and opportunities.
With participation expected from over 150 senior water professionals, the conference provides a pivotal platform for networking and collaboration. It seeks to foster cooperation and exchange of knowledge to address emerging challenges in the Danube region's water sector.

2025 DWC Registration
We are pleased to offer a two-days ticket at a rate of €390. Registration fees cover participation in the two-day conference, as well as meals and social events. Registration is open from 3 March to 3 May. Make sure to reserve your spot by completing the online registration on the Event’s page as soon as possible.

Call for Posters
Like in the past, the conference organizers encourage the submission of an Outline Paper to contribute a poster presentation. Please find all details in the Call for Posters and on the Event's page. Please note that the deadline to submit a poster has been extended to 31 March!
